This Feeling TV 3 is the magic number

At time of writing, it is...

Day 3 of October's step up for the UK's independent music industry

Episode 3 of #ThisFeelingTV arrives in this rock n roll zeitgeist moment.

Day 3 of The Shimmer Band's headline tour (Birmingham this evening), and appearing on This Feeling TV episode 3 with The Amazons, Declan McKenna and more. Feedback for The Shimmer Band's first two shows have been off the hook, or as one attendee noted; "if the shimmer band aren't the future, the future is fucked!". It's been that good already, and then the new TV show lands!

On Friday, The Shimmer Band flash dropped their new single 'YA YA (UH OH)', it's from another planet. This rainbow of an ear bomb got amazed feedback, was an instant hit that was played by Steve Lamacq on BBC 6Music Radio within hours of release,on Soccer AM TV the next day, and is TF's Record Of The Week on Radio X.

This Feeling TV has a habit of catching Ones To Watch at just the right time. Love for the band is palpably growing. They brought their rock'n'rave unity to the show in fine style; Fans had travelled from the North of England to catch them, close up, in a packed out crowd, wall to wall, with fellow up and comers, in/with bands. Each episode of this show is a convention of invention.

Presented by Red Stripe and hosted by Gordon Smart of Radio X, This Feeling TV is the massive new show in the eye of fresh fantasic talent's storm.

Interviews are interspersed with real live performances in famed London venue, Nambucca. It's a lively, informative and fun way to find your new favourite guitar powered artists.

None of that "stand still, we're filming" nonsense while the bands are playing!

It puts the bands at ease, and conversational, in interview.

During Episide 3, The Amazons talk about Reading town as one of the UK's unlikely hotbeds of guitar talent, past and present. "We were desperate to be noticed by didn't want just to move to London and become part of that scene.”

Declan McKenna talks up his bromance with The Amazons (and doing the macarena!).

Tom Newman, lead singer of of The Shimmer Band discusses his previous, not so rock n roll employment - building caravans.

They are all also in live performance on the show, in the TV-throwing competition and sharing the sofa with actor Warren Brown ('Luther', and the forthcoming programme, 'Strike Back').

Additionally; hot britpunk shakers, Blackwaters, introduce themselves, The Horrors discuss the first record they brought (and tour antics in Italy!). There's also an informal chat with long time This Feeling supporters, Kasabian.

This is the latest instalment of Red Stripe presents: This Feeling TV – a new show designed for the digital age that maintains the unique charm and quirkiness that typified music television's 20th century heyday of rock and pop broadcasting. The first two episodes have been well received, attracting almost 150,000 combined views on YouTube. The show is the brainchild of This Feeling founder, Mikey Jonns, and an almighty craving from Red Stripe, to inject a huge dose of excitement into the music scene. With one final show left to be filmed this year, the programme is expected to continue picking up real momentum into 2018 and beyond.
