The Blinders - stage their first "I Was There" tour.

"It's was like a who's who of new music tonight" remarked the essential Trust A Fox Photography on twitter, noting that the packed venue held a "...proper people and bands turn out." The event was, of course, the nation's best/worst kept secret, The Blinders, playing the second of eighteen shows in Manchester's Deaf Institute.

Collaborating with "Promoter Friends" and team, staging this tour starts their debut album year. A move that is out on a limb, including brand new locations. Although reputation proceeds them for those in the know, they are a new prospect for most. The Blinders have only that evening's live set, their repertoire, musicianship and charisma to make a favourable impression. Tonight though, the Doncaster trio are on home turf, having moved to Manchester. It FEELS like an occasion for those lucky enough to have a ticket to this long sold out raucous mosh and sing-along.

There is no hype. It's a jungle telegraph suss that The Blinders herald a renaissance in self expressive art, word, performance, creativity and inclusion. From their own Nasty Man documentation and representation to fan art and many poets in their fan base, their crowd allows dreamers. This, in turn, incites fresh adventures in media, industry and technology, enriching current models. Their record label, Modern Sky UK are across from Liverpool on an office night out to witness one of their bands making history. With a (giant) house party's worth of family, friends, fans, peers, rocking students and buzz, we come in peace, and shoot to thrill. Foxy is right, this Saturday night is as proper as it gets.

The big tunes, the century straddling influences, the honesty; The Blinders are a gentrified hipster-fake-punk's nightmare. The joyous theatric possesion means there is no typical fan in this mix of affectionate support, enquiring minds and/or activist imaginations. Less of a fawning, more of a dawning.

TheZineUK's ongoing documentary of arts movement embraces this game-changing band. Our intrepid music editor, Dizzy Spell, adventured to Glasgow King Tuts the night before to catch the first (also sold out) show (look out for the interview). February 2018 will forge youth's new force of musical nature into a new prospect by the end of these dates.

For now though, let TheZineUK assure you that this IS one of rock music's "I Was There" tours. A London music biz insider has chosen The Blinders' gig at The Lexington over The Brits at the 02 on 21st February. The punkadelic following are as much a part of the show and story as the band.

At Manchester Deaf Institute. Ange Cobham got some great shots of The Blinders, Strange Bones, Lyerr Band and wordsmith Patrick T. Davies. Aah, the poetry. It's important. Fusing Grime, Punk, Life... This entire evening was good for the soul. So, please do Rock n Scroll...
