"Rock n Roll isn't dead" say Maker
Maker are living up to their name and creating their own individual story in the history of music. There is definitely a feeling among guitar bands that a movement is stirring, and just needs all the help from the industry that it can get. As the band articulate;
"Rock n roll isn't dead, people just aren't looking hard enough or are willing to back the bands that are out there doing it. If the 'big three' rock n roll bands got involved and chose their own support acts by who they listened to and liked, then the bands below them would grow and join the elite. As it is, it's all still run by the booking agents and therefore, money talks. The torch isn't being passed on. The money people are telling us who's next, and it should be the people. To quote Neil Young, rock n roll will never die."
Maker (photographed above at the now almost mythical 100 Club in London by Naomi Dryden-Smith) are proving that, as their bluesy rocking destiny unfolds to such cool venues and the encouraging early reception to their five track EP; 'Move Your Feet'. Which sold out of the first 200 vinyl effect CDs. Keep an ear on this band and an eye on makerofficial.com for more merchandise and dates.
