Joanna Wang and friends wow London
Headlined by Joanna Wang, November's music social by Panda Power, in association with TheZineUK, was something very special indeed. The last time we co-promoted was the #ArtBeatFest - those feelings of coming together in celebration were, again, apparent.
Taiwan's Alt Pop wonder, Joanna Wang, fused quirky lyrical observations with haunting melodies, Americana and sweet clear voice to a packed out audience that were truly charmed.
It was another memorable occasion at the UK's base of ArtBeat, The Amersham Arms. Tickets had sold out in advance. There were the love and peace vibes on the New Cross Road.
Following: A diary of snap shots from the evening with our tour DJ, Disco MarkY and live guest appearances by Marc Todd, then Panda Power creator and the evening's host - Jean Genie's Massive Hugs - then band sets from Granfalloon and REV then a pop-up word magician appeared on stage in the shape of Bruno Wizard. Joanna Wang headlined an evening not to forget.

First acoustic live performance is from Marc Todd, by then, the venue is already busy. Like the entire bill, he gets a great reception from a fabulous crowd.
Then Panda Power creator, and this evening's host, Jean Genie's Massive Hugs, performed her own magicpop.
It was heart warming to see that quite a few of the Panda Power family had come to London's creative Lower East Side for this show. If you see this evening's DJ, Disco MarkY (below) then you're at a highly recommended event!
Granfalloon were a freshly formed (this night) line up who also made some new friends. Singer, Richard Lomax, was back by request, having appeared at this venue a couple of times previously.
REV brought funky psychedlic rhythms to the proceedings, which rocked out.

The star of the show, Joanna Wang, very much lived up to expectation for the many fans that had come to Amersham Arms for this intimate appearance.
