Camden Rocks - times and tips

Camden Rocks 2018!

It’s that time of the year again! The indie kids and the rockers are set to take over Camden, for the 1-day festival that is Camden Rocks.

A festival that, like a phoenix, rose from the ashes of the Camden Crawl, it’s a day of running around the different venues (including: Koko, Camden Assembly, The Monarch, The Hawley Arms, The Fiddlers Elbow, just to name a few… is anyone else feeling stressed yet?), trying to cram in as many bands as possible (100+ last time I checked… yes the stress is real), and enjoying what is set to be a great day, a huge street party with your friends and some of the most talented people in the music industry.

If the recently release list of stage times / venues seems a bit intimidating to you (because you know, same), here are TheZine’s recommendations on who not to miss that day:

The Jacques – 1:15pm, Fest Camden

These boys have been lurking in the shadows of the music scene, and hopefully this rare set at Camden Rocks is a promise that there is more to come!

Sophie and The Giants – 2:15pm, The Hawley Arms

Recently just finished a stint supporting Trampolene on their UK tour, this band is one to watch, powerful and melodic, expect big things from them.

Towers of London – 3pm, The Monarch

They’re back and they’re better then ever! The infamous Donny Tourette knows how to put on a good show, making this band one to watch and a set that you don’t want to miss.

Juicebox – 3:15pm, The Hawley Arms

New to the music scene, these boys will entice you with their catchy songs, that will make you want to dance, make you smile and will leave you wanting more.

Eliza and the Bear – 4:30pm, KOKO

A regular to the festival circuit, this band’s uplifting tunes will make them an instant favourite of yours. Expect happy people and a warming atmosphere.

Sisteray – 5:30pm, Crescent

Angry and controversial, Sisteray recently got into hot water at The Great Escape for playing “too loud”, who knows what’ll happen this time?

Blackwaters – 6:30pm, Crescent

Young, talented and fierce, these boys are the optimum of the festival. With great music and a guarantee of mosh pits, what more could you want from a band at Camden Rocks?

False Heads – 7pm, Belushi’s

A band that you’ll probably hear before you see, these 3 lads have become a favourite amongst the London music scene, and never fail to put on an amazing show.

The Black Roses – 9pm, Belushi’s

Having recently supported Trampolene at their Scala show, this band is making its name in the music industry, go and check them out and you’ll be able to say that you were there first.

Dead! – 22:15pm, The Hawley Arms

If by the end of the day, you still have the energy left, this band is the perfect way to finish your Camden Rocks experience on a high.
