'Faults' by Berries

It may only be the second month into a new year, but this London trio have got their feet firmly on the pedal with a steely determination.

Their latest single, 'Faults', is is an anthem for the rebels, the misfits, the misunderstood and the superfluous. They're carrying on the profound narrative that started, in their previous single, 'Wild Vows;.

'Faults' starts off slow and mysterious, with a build up of texture, dynamics and harmonies that have a magnetising effect.

Berries have astutely captured what made guitar music great in the last twenty five years, and incorporated that with their own unique sound and interpretation. The instrumental towards the end of the song, demonstrates that this band are not to be underestimated where talent is concerned.

We're getting ever so close to festival season, and it's a no brainer that this group will be on a good handful, so make sure you check them out at whichever festivity you may happen to cross paths at.

Currently, the word going around, is that 2018 is The Year Of The Women. With ladies as talented as this, it's easy to say, that that hypothesis is inevitable.

TheZineUK is a Music Movement Story. Catch up with Monefa's 'Introducing The Berries' article (October 2017) and their previous support band, The Dabhands, will be gracing our own next music social (promoted by Monefa) on 29th March at Camden Monarch (free entry).
