Alternative Escape STAR turns Kick Out The Jams

In mid May 2018 - Europe's biggest new music festival, The Great Escape, is also home to the continent's biggest free entry, no wristband, scouting outing. It's official top tip fest, The Alternative Escape.

The Velvet Hands, SONS, Emily Capell, Sisteray, False Heads, Couples, The Wholls, Calva Louise, Pink Cigar, Lucie Barat, The RPMs, Mourning Birds, Vito and Katy O are among a galaxies worth of star turns set to sparkle hard with a co-operative collective of newer wave music industry support; Kick Out The Jams with TheZineUK, Rotor Videos, Benumu, Musicians Against Homelessness, GigMit, INES, Sunshine HQ and, you bet a load of lively friends. The (SeaSide) Happening, 2018.

TheZineUK have repped at every event since our first year (2014) courtesy of End Of The Trail Creative which is always a hive of (music) industry and have given more than one Alt Escape artists to headling BBC Introducing Stage at Reading/Leeds Festival.

We are stoked to be involved again courtesy of Kick Out The Jams who are hitting #TGE18 with what amounts to a convention of the newer wave music industry future shapers. On and off stage. Four all-tips line ups!

Every single name on the bill comes widely recommended. The co-promoters, ourselves included, work with artists and industry alike because we believe in the music and possibilities.

Try before you fly; Click the image above for Kick Out The Jams @AltEscape Spotify Playlist - which includes many artists who are already in this tale, and will be making a next chapter.

With the alternative rock scenes on the rise, the industry at it's most hopeful since 90s Britpop days and an exciting amount of fast rising, career potential to choose from, 2018 is a definitive year.

For instance, the rapidly expanding Modern Age Music, who we co-promoted with in December, will also be presenting a showcase. Basically; Brighton is gonna be one long noisy fun seaside rock n roll party.

Especially at the following events as part of the nation wide #RoyalBeddingDay weekend (Musicians Against Homelessness) like a riotous continuation of #TheMusicPeople Party (complete with our own Katie O on the decks - she BRINGS the party) Come and find us all and join in. Hear here;
