TABOU - out now; 'For The Night'

TABOU

‘For The Night’ - new single out now from soulful groovers who are fresh outta Essex (and not a fake tan in sight). Hear it at the band's Soundcloud.

If you have preconceived ideas about Essex - then they are about to be blown out of the water. TABOU are a cheeky, funky soulful four piece - who will get your hips swaying and your shoulders moving. New track ‘For The Night’ is a nostalgic trip back to those classic sounds of the early 80s - with a modern spin.

The bands debut single ‘Honey’ won them a host of admirers, saw them appear on BBC Introducing in Essex and Soho Radio consistently, garner BBC Radio 1 airplay and gain support from Virgin Radio DJ, Eddy Temple Morris, who describes their latest single as "smoother than avocado mixed with butter and warmed between the thighs of Michael McDonald and Donald Fagen from Steely Dan". High praise indeed.

The lads have been selected as one of the BBC Introducing in Essex ‘Sound of 2018’ - and are earmarked for an extremely bright future. With appearances on the BBC Introducing stage at Brentwood Festival and a mini tour and festival of Ireland in summer, 2018 looks to be a solid follow up to their first year for a band who only formed in January 2017!

With their eyes fixed firmly on elevating their status and establishing a solid fan base in Essex - appearances in London are fleeting at the moment so keep an eye out for their gigs dates. A video for the latest is imminent, and their next track, ‘Lazy Flavour’ will be dropping in early July. and check out links to their socials (and fullest band information) via their web page.

Expect big things - there is nothing taboo about talking about TABOU.
