Valentines #VibesOnly with OLWH
The BBC introducing featured OLWH and just one of the stand out artists from the motley crew of talent that is #Vibes Only, who we were lucky to catch up with last summer (read about that, here.) has crafted together the perfect Valentines treat for us, no matter how you celebrate, not one but TWO singles to mark the occasion.
February 14th, the lead track which gives his own perspective on Valentines Day gives you incredibly catchy guitar which lends itself effortlessly to a mix of (actually very cool) jazz, Bossa Nova with an almost unspoken reggae vibe. Despite it's 'Lose it all, in the name of love...' hook, it is both begging to be played on romantic evenings or just to help vibe on the daily grind. You'll find it an infectious ear worm and the 2000+ plays already on Soundcloud only goes to prove OLWH is, yet again, onto a winner.
Aphrodite is synth laden, Lo-fi perfection, the slow groove gives it an almost eerie feel, but don't let that put you off, there is a lot of soul in this track. This, perhaps more than others, shows OLWH's deep understanding of melody and his lack of fear when experimenting with all genre and all sounds. It's guaranteed to stay with you for a while after listening.
But don't just take our word for it....
