SONS - 'Rise' - Review

If you've listened to their last single ‘Zealot’ (if not, where have you been this year as it's been played practically everywhere!) then you already know what a powerful punch this dynamic duo from Brighton can pack. At their live gigs, Lee and NIck know exactly how to rule the crowd, no one is there without moving and being fully engaged, and I expect the same results with their new single 'Rise'.

Right from the start, you have the guitar and drums creating a pulsating riff that encourages you to stop whatever you're doing and listen, you won’t regret it! Right now, a lot of music listeners are looking for something else in their music. They are looking for validation with a touch of rebellion and that is exactly what SONS deliver in this single. The song has its dark ethereal elements, but ultimately, it’s a roaring screaming reminder... A reminder that in those moments when you want to give up, drop down your defences without a fight, rise up like the phoenix, smash through those walls and ceilings and revel in the freedom of your mind. An extremely powerful, adamant, uplifting and undeniable message: Never ever give up.

I know for a fact, I’m not the only one that’s already excited for what this band has in store next for us all. Their music is raw, honest and straight to the point. No doubt in my mind at all, that SONS are definitely on their own ‘Rise’ in the music industry.
