Introducing... The Struts!

When The Struts dressing room door opened, in walked four down to earth lads that naturally exude the star quality in a humble and refreshing way. Through passion and six years of hard graft they have paved their way to an accelerating and exciting career which in today’s challenging and competitive music industry is pretty something. This band is hot stuff and please somebody chuck me a Chinese fan to cool myself off!!

Adam on guitar, Jed on bass, Gethin on drums and front man Luke, these guys are a bundle of talent and enthusiasm bursting at the seams and are only a few steps away from rocketing to the top. From their early days as a resident band at the Monarch, this is where their core fans and roots began. The band are happy to reminisce on these early days with big smiles and inform me of their naughty antics on stage (erm.. and off).

Their rock band apprenticeship really came into swing on their first road tour around France. A far cry from what they have been up to recently. Ok the name dropping overload will be dangling off my tongue and you cant get better than this. Supporting The Rolling Stones, Motley Crue The Killers, Guns n Roses (help I can’t get them out quick enough) to The Who and their next whopper gig wait for it….. The Foo Fighters.

They have just released a video for their single ‘One Night Only’. Their new album will be released early next year. They will also be headlining shows globally and more in the UK (hurrah). I feel honoured that that very same evening I saw The Struts headline at The Electric Ballroom Camden and was completely blown away. Fringed and super cool outfits along with a colourful and jaw dropping stage presence. The Struts channeled the spirit of Freddie Mercury along with their own unique spell bounding performance. The atmosphere and crowd were phenomenal. A night I will never forget!
