Introducing... BERRIES

For as long as I can remember in the music world, many try to portray it as a "man only world" that women can't match the same standards of. This is despite the fact that female musicians have been pioneers as much as male musicians and more importantly, female musicians are always present when there is an obvious shift, an evolution in music.

This is still relevant and present in the case of BERRIES, an alt-rock trio based in London that are rewriting

all the rules when it comes to guitar music and where women stand within the music industry. They have had their debut song 'Those Funny Things' played frequently on Radio X and BBC Radio and BBC 6 Music.

There has been quite a buzz about them over the summer, especially during the festival season (playing on the This Feeling/Jack Rocks stage) and now Holly, Lucie and Lauren are about to make their headline debut

at the Black Heart in Camden Oct. 19th .

This coincides with their latest single 'Wild Vow' - The punchy guitar riffs, the smooth vocals communicates a rebellion in order to create progressive change. It's full of power, full of confidence and perfectly displays that these ladies are confident, dynamic and are ready to take the stage – and the world- by storm. They have an ability to get straight to the point, keeping you engaged, while creating intriguing layers throughout the song.

BERRIES are present during a crucial time in this country, in terms of the next wave of British music heavy influenced by the last few decades (at least) bringing new sounds, bringing in new fans and creating what can only be described as a steady foundation for the future of music. None of us know where music is heading, but it seems very promising and exciting with the like of these ladies bringing their enthusiasm, determination to a venue or stage near you.
