Edinburgh's DJ Natasha Kitty Katt is fast making a name for herself by creating her own magic. She's the lady behind Ghetto Disco Records (run with her father, Dennis - superstar Dj in his own right!) She's a guaranteed fixture on the festival circuit and to top it all off she's part Bettie Page, part disco goth blended together with a touch of Chic. She's bringing something new to the table... She's bringing excitement for the soul. Collaborating with Twisted Soul Collective, we have a new frequency of sound that makes you feel like you're at a rave in the 90s and doing 'The Bump' in the70s.
The track 'Twisted Katt' brings the funk and the soul to the party. An infectious baseline rhythm gets you swaying your body and clapping your hands in time. This is absolutely a floor filler to dance your heart away to. The vocals harmonise over the unconventional but hip guitar riffs.
This lady knows her stuff,and makes it clear in her other track 'Cosmic Bitch' In this song, Natasha succintly displays how what is usually only associated with classical music, can actually be used for any genre. The violins providing the simple but effective ornaments over an unforgettable melody that has you visualising yourself at a roller disco twirling away to the beats and giving a shimmer along the way with the tempo. The layers are so beautifully built,you could dismantle each component and layer,and still find yourself gyrating to the beat! This lady knows her stuff and you should count yourself lucky to grace your ears with this decadent sound.
