On arrival, I walked into a packed restaurant filled to the brim with chatty people. Where's the bloody stage? (I asked myself). Tucked away discreetly to the back of this deep north London joint was a snug area; candlelit and cosy. Hmmm, are we in Louisiana? Nope sorry! We are in Delta Rock n Roll Camden High Street me love - oh and minus the triangle but close to the river (or the canal if you want to be an anal retentive git!).

I perched myself in front of the sound booth. Seemed the best spot as the stage area was getting mobbed at a very rapid pace.

Bang goes the candle lights and we are submerged into an opium den red light that glistens off the disco ball. The smoke machine kicks in and we are (sorry Mr Hendrix) in a RED HAZE...

Swim your way now through an ocean of hypnotic rhythms and trust me you better swim fast. These clever sharp bandits will grab you straight away. Each one of these musicians bring their own charm to this fierce ensemble. I stay faithful to my own motto 'Nobody gets left out'. Each one of them deserve an equal hats off and a massive one at that. With Nick Harding - Lead Vocals, Chris Harding - Guitar/Vocal, Ale Cinelli - Drums, George Price - Bass, Marco Cinelli - Guitar and Dominic Thatcher on Sax.

Their whole set was very explosive and the dance floor was kicking off. They have a real Stones approach. Chris excites us with sprayed pinstriped trousers and frayed scarves which later get ripped off and are used as a stage spanking prop!

The whole band bounce off each other. They are the hammer house of rock n roll. Fingers dancing across every guitar, Iggy Pop dance moves and maracas like rattle snake embrace us in this sexy Jim Morrisonesque music escapade.

Great songs that leap out at me were their opener 'Light It Up' followed by 'Sick Of It All', 'Lend Hand' and a great cover of Chuck Berry's 'Bye Bye Johnny'

Enough said when the whole room beg for an encore which is horrifyingly refused and we are left with the crowd heavily disappointed but going home with a memorable night that will be firmly imprinted in their minds for the rest of their lives. Everything off to you Second Sons!

Don't just take our word for it...

Check them out, here.
