The Nova Twins At Dr Martens Camden

Blown Away? That is an understatement! The Nova Twins were yet again on rocketing form. The last time I caught this band they were supporting 'Horror' at The Underworld, Camden. I was sold immediately!

Both cute and feisty these rock chicks never fail to give their all and the energy they exude can be felt in every inch of the room. Their loyal and quirky fans cannot help but share their excitement and respect for this off the Richter scale tour de Rock!

It also doesn't come as any surprise that these two bad ass girls have their own clothing label 'BAD STITCHES'. They are colourful, zestful, exhilerating and a joy to watch. Comprising of Georgia South on Bass, Amy Love on Vocals and Guitar and Tim Nugent on Drums.

This is a band where every song is equally as good and its really hard for me to cherry pick which ones were my favourites because they all are. "Moodswings', Zillion, Bassline Bitch and Wave are pure Afro Punk but the ingredients are pure from this feverish trio.

Splashing sounds of dirty bass and grime and deep drums the three of them create an overwhelming and unforgettable live performance. Is it any wonder that The Guardian chose them as band of the week?

That week will soon be for a lifetime. I'm watching out for them that's for sure. A top night where we all danced and everyone in the venue was boasting big Cheshire cat grins and whistling!

Encore and more and more and more Nova Twins!
