Music's Biggest New Zone; This Feeling TV
“This Feeling are once again putting their magic where their mouths are and giving kids with guitars the chance to shine on the screen with This Feeling TV.” (Blossoms).
Presenter, Gordon Smart, interviewing Carl Barat and Martin Compston.
Fun is BACK. The UK unleashes the TV show that has virtually united The Gallaghers, attracted and excited the rock n roll stars of now and future, has in the know exclusives and throws the current, tired, British music television format out of the window, along with that self same TV. In association with Red Stripe; Watch This Feeling TV debut episode.
This Feeling TV's first show features Carl Barat, BBC TV's Martin Compston, Slaves (who flew back early from USA to do the show), DMA's, Tom Grennan, Black Honey AND a cameo from Liam Gallagher (who requested DMA's go on early so he could watch the Manchester football derby!). Alongside Kasabian, CABBAGE and The Enemy, Noel Gallagher is a vocal advocate of the nation's biggest alternative rock and Britpunk club (i.e. packed out gigs of rising stars EVERY weekend and festival stages that music fans don't leave all weekend) This Feeling. As Noel points out; “When Rock N Roll makes its glorious comeback, you can bet you will have seen it first on This Feeling TV.” and in a way the show HAS united him with Liam, who was in attendance at the filming of the first episode on 27th April in London, as previously. As were a plethora of up and coming musical talents. . .

'Music TV is back & it's Rock N Roll bands making it happen' (This Feeling): Importantly, with fun and laughter at heart. 18 second teaser - Slaves, Carl Barat, Liam Gallagher, DMAs, Tom Grennan, Martin Compston (BBC TV's 'Line Of Duty' detective crowd surfing to punk duo, Slaves, in a tiny venue for them!) sound tracked by 'Swine' (The Blinders, who are another of This Feeling's alumni)
Yes, this is Britain's new gold medal sport - that TV chucked out the window nearly hit bullseye!
Red Stripe presents: This Feeling TV, which will be hosted by Radio X presenter, and music lover, Gordon Smart and produced by Dry Lunch, founded by former Soccer AM producer, Robbie Knox. The show has also already received backing from so many musicians and music fans.
We have been craving this for years. Youth raised on the hoot a nanny of Jools Holland, channels of corporate approved pop and the tiniest of glimpses of new music need our fix of furious noisy mischief. With so many fresh excitements inspired by their parents record collections and BBC Four, its no wonder that guitar bands, outsiders, are so sexy right now. BBBC (Big Bold Brilliant and Credible) Fwar!
Liam Gallagher and DMAs with This Feeling director, Mikey Jonns.
‘Red Stripe presents: This Feeling TV: giving future festival headliners their first chance to shine along with some of the biggest names in the game
Music TV shows once offered bands their big break; any group seeking a platform and exposure fought for that memorable moment to spark chart success. The likes of The Tube set the foundations for The Word and TFI Friday. They have all since gone, along with Top of the Pops, The Chart Show and T4 disappearing from our screens in recent years. Jools Holland is the last man standing on terrestrial telly and few new indie bands can elbow their way into his line-up, let alone stay awake during the show.
Things have gone stale in music telly. Until now...
This Feeling and Red Stripe are taking things into their own hands to reverse the trend in 2017. A new partnership is born; ‘Red Stripe presents: This Feeling TV’. It’s brand new for the digital age providing a platform for up and comers of in the industry to showcase their talent alongside established acts, creating some much needed magic on the small screen.
(Slaves were our situationist-story cover stars a year ago, punk power is weaving this tapestry)
This Feeling TV begins creating what the music world is waiting for. Currently online with the first four (twenty-minute) episodes being aired over the course of the year. Informal interviews with big-hitters and future stars, live performances from guests, and off-the- wall features.
This Feeling? What's the big deal?
Exposing and supporting thrilling new talent. Giving opportunities to hard working ambition, with a positive driven attitude.
Attracting the new music industry to credible career potential (performers and documentarians), This Feeling is somewhere to dress up, go out, get in and get down.
This Feeling is the brainchild of Mikey Jonns who has spent the last ten years creating the ultimate rock n roll club night with live bands.
This new venture will see the passion and good taste he's applied to his club nights, and have the balance of featuring some of the UK's hugest bands and rising stars.
It’s been a long time coming, but an arse kicking, rock and roll music TV show, full of passion and emotion is essential to a nation that is just about to publicly add BritPunk to Grime as another of it’s nationally loved blessings.
Music is Britain and vice versa. We make a song and dance about everything. This Feeling alumni and allies are our sub culture evolution. Thank you Mikey, for caring and sharing. Music TV with PROPER bands is back. Influential: @This_Feeling http://thisfeeling.co.uk/
