Being TheZineUK we don't do things by halves. Our next music social is a resurrection all right. Calling all The Zeenagers to a night right out. Rebel rock n roll. ART-iculation. Poetic souls. Stars from our story, gathered in our new destination location in front of St Paul's Cathedral. Of Course. If you are in this story, then please contact us. You are on the guest list.

TheZineUK Music Social No.5, Thursday 20th April, Vinyl Bar St Paul's, 2-3 Change Court, Peter's Hill, St Paul's, London EC4M 8EN. 18+ Event. £5 on the door (contact the bands for their £3 list) FB Event/pre social.

We want to say THANK YOU for making this situationist documentary into a new reality already. Quality live entertainment. People (not us, or our friends!) say that guitar music is dead. Well we're going beyond a resurrection then, gonna be playing tunes, on and off stage, with guitars in, from the 20th and 21st century, then you decide. Two new up n comers that we tip heavily:

Apeman Spaceman (approx 9.30pm)

Magnificent.

A truly powerful alternative, noise pop-anthemed, rock experience with some major TUNES in their armoury.

If you were at our Autumn music social (pic) , you'll know it all went off down the front.

An ex-chart bands, Dogs x Razorlight supergroup, but, in our often humble opinion, even better.

Like most friends in our story, we met personally at our ArtBeat social and stayed in touch.

As soon as we heard their "dirty nasty rock music" (Clash Mag) we were hooked, and ended up following their shows.

Stand by, we could get treated to a new song, or two, this evening! (Apeman Spaceman - 'Have Not Love' video directed by Sadie Frost)

485C (approx 8.30pm) were actually the very first band to take to the stage at our first East End music social last January; a Sisteray guerilla gig. They didn't actually have a band name at the time, so the flyer sort of read "some live entertainment", but we haven't stopped going to see them, and recommending them, since.

First official show with a name was April 2016's ArtBeatFest New Music Expo, then on to Steve Lamacq, Festivals, cool supports, wonderfully received releases on Fierce Panda Records (home to Coquin Migale and Desperate Journalist) and intense interest due to their tight musicianship (started the band when they were 12, seven years ago) and driven political ARTiculation. Image above is from earlier this month when 485C headlined This Feeling club

Thank you for the poster flyer for the event, Jacob Shoobridge-Chandler.

Cheers also, to all that come and play, on and off stage. So far, new friends made every time.

Our audiences are freaking legends who have a love/interest in live music and really want to be at gigs.

If you are a blog, come and grab quick informal chats with those that have some news for you, or clink a refreshment with those that don't.

If you're a scout or booker, get IN, our bands are recommended as feck.

Tonight's stars have already been snapped up by influential festival stages and landmark gigs including the UK leaders in hot band tip shows; This Feeling, and John Kennedy of Radio X (both have done sessions/interviews recently with the station, too) and more.

Last January's event also had the much in demand bringer of sunshine (and partyness) to the universe, our own Jean Genie on the DJ decks duties (pictured below).

Be prepared to shake your fail feather. Also, alongside with being a musical talent in her own right, JG is also TheZineUK's radio presenter/producer expert. All the team bring different gifts to the party. Please do chat with us at the early doors networking session.

Keeping things mover shaker powered, when you arrive you will be greeted by Angela Martin of the also acclaimed and recommended disco punks, Bugeye, from our tale. Always, quite a few bands with their latest news gonna be in the house, we'll find out whose up for a natter, and, again will be creating images and stories on the night. Less like 'Hello' Magazine, more like "Wotcher!"

We're celebrating a wealth of much appreciated support too. Very kindly, friends share our news/links and pix on socials, and Luke Griffiths, vocalist and guitarist of recent interviewees, (Iggy Pop/This Feeling/Gary Powell etc recommended), False Heads, gave our Fashion Director, Ben Dodd, a testimonial for us all.

TheZineUK : Can you remember how you found out about us?

Luke : "I saw you through a This Feeling post actually, quite a long time ago. I can't remember exactly what it was, but that's how I first stumbled across you guys. Maybe six months ago?

(we have many a debt of gratitude to Mikey Jonns, one of the friends spreading our word. This Feeling is one of our regular haunts too, so extra chuffed)

TheZineUK : ...and you actively approached us. . .

Luke : ". . . I just thought the site looked really clean haha that's the first thing that pricked my interest. . ."

(We owe that to the genius that is Ev Bobrek. Need a site built? Again, our team come at very reasonable rates, styling, photography, film, directing, PR, consultancy - so just get in touch.)

Luke : (continued) ". . . Maybe, I'm fucking mad but I like the look of a clean website haha but then when I looked at the site I just thought it was impassioned writing and genuine and opinionated. I dug that, around that time I was getting sick of bands getting signed to massive labels and management etc, then being EVERYWHERE within a month. I just imagined that you didn't seem like the type of site that bent over and got fucked on request by massive companies."

TheZineUK : what were your thoughts on the piece we did and why?

Luke : "It was great, was a bit mad, but eloquent, genuine writing from the heart which I always dig. And feels like there's lots of people that feel like me that are fucking sick of the shit music we are forced to listen to. It was also a fun read, which is always important. "

TheZineUK : (in size - nicknamed "Rocking Pebble") We are minnows, why would our coverage be needed, when you've had Fred Perry, The Independent etc. providing you with coverage?

Luke : "Everything counts. Every bit of organic support counts. From The Zine to The Independent to some nutter off the street. All matters."

Thank you so much for the feedback, Luke. Image, a load of photographer's at the band's recent 'Gutter Press' EP launch with This Feeling. False Heads top the bill at Camden Assembly on 13th May.

We will make more new futures tonight. This is an invitation to be part of it.

The doors are at 7pm, booze happy hour is until 8pm, then happier hours with live music and party tunes. The venue is actually open until 3am with about 7-9 night bus stops (10 mins from West End AND East End), easy from Norf n Sarf London too innit.

Mate this is Central central London and on Thursday 20th April TheZineUK story's next chapter is definitely gonna be more Fun Boy Three than the establishment's wish of World War Three.

Come a bit earlier than doors if you wanna do some pre gig pix n promo towards the follow up review , or just drop off flyers / badges / stickers for goodie bags, or sackfuls of cash etc. We look forward to welcoming you even if you've got not much more than a smile though. Come Share The Joy.

Celebrating TheZineUK, Rocklands ArtBeat Promo, Vinyl Bar and especially The Zeenagers. The world of arts has already changed because of YOU and your friends. We love you. xx @TheZineUK
