LongshawWard SS'17 Collection

I first came across David's collection a few years back at a press day and was really taken by the unique hand drawn illustrations on his range. He has since regrouped and combined his talents with that of his wife, Kirsty Ward, who he met working in Italy for Alberta Farretti.

The collection still has their individual signatures from their own previous collections and in my eyes, a retro futuristic feel to the range.

The pieces are manufactured in the UK, with careful fabric choices, as well as an industrial luxe range of jewellery and accessories. Some have a deconstructed feel, with really interesting layering.

The Prints, which are a key signature of David's, are executed from hand drawings of sea slugs and exotic flowers. It's a real feast for the eyes and manages to capture a sophisticated vibrancy that I haven't seen in many collections of late.

London is full of design talent and its really good to see a range thats pushing design boundaries with some flair. Bravo!!
