Pirate Studios launches the future of music studios

Carl Barât of The Libertines, Dave McCabe of The Zutons, Britain’s most influential live music club – This Feeling - and the cream of rising stars, unite for music history. Pirate Studios aim to revolutionise music rehearsal space, helping thousands of emerging acts in our country, create the music we will be listening to for years to come. In a series of intimate live gigs, they will celebrate their official launch across what is Great of Britain. These very rock n roll shows, which herald a new era of rehearsal studios for musicians and DJs, will feature a mix of big names and emerging talent. As a bonus, there is a living-the-dream competition to find the opening act for the London date, supporting Carl Barât and BlackWaters

Austerity age hero;

Pirate Studios founder, David Borrie, started the company to support young, undiscovered artists who were unable to meet the rising costs of today’s music scene.

It is an operation with accessibility and affordability at its core.

From a single studio in an abandoned Bristol police station to now operating nintety studios nationwide in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, Leicester, Liverpool and Sheffield - with an expanding pirate family of users.

David points out; 'It has never been harder for musicians to make a living from their music, so our aim is simple: to make their lives easier. Like pirate radio before us, we are supporting the undiscovered musicians who will form the future of UK music.’

This is ground breaking positivity. Pirate Studios provides the equipment and flexibility to develop talent in affordable room and aims to create spaces where talents are honed and live music will prosper.

It has a trust centric, community-driven approach, utilising innovative technology to support 24/7 self-service access to suit the needs of musicians everywhere.

This is indicative of the groundswell of social justice and sociable love in the small to medium venues, home to This Feeling (which Noel Gallagher rightly describes as “The best club in the UK for future rock n roll stars.” Known as The Zone to it’s expanding family of regulars, This Feeling is the natural choice of partner for these launches. The artists that will play are of world class potential.

'Pirate Studios isn't just first rate 24/7 rehearsal space, this is next level stuff. They're providing bands with a platform, community, opportunity. They're investing in Britain's next generation of bands / acts and it's exciting and an absolute pleasure to be partnering up with these guys' says Mikey Jonns of This Feeling.

With OpenLIVE offering instantly mixed and mastered recordings of rehearsals, and the imminent launch of live broadcasting direct from the studios, the Pirate community will soon be able to reach out beyond the studio walls and connect with fans in a way never experienced before.
