Cabbage - a war cry for our times
Cabbage - Live at The Lock Tavern, London - 26th August 2016
Everything you’ve heard is true. Cabbage are brilliant.
Hailing from Mossley, near Manchester, these five incredibly talented lads - Joe Martin (vocals, guitar), Lee Broadbent (lead vocals), Eoghan Clifford (guitar), Stephen Evans (bass) and Asa Morley (drums) - have fused into one of the best, most dynamic bands I’ve seen all year.
Their music, message and performance is totally infectious. They are clearly loving it and so is the crowd who are getting off on their enthusiasm. With phenomenal anthems and performance, Cabbage truly resonate with the audience, who are total entranced.
The songs are artful, clever and poignant - a poetic war cry for our times about politics, class and scandal seeped in dark humour that keeps you constantly laughing while you dance.
First proper London show. It's been real. Scroll down for the UK tour dates. Watch TheZineUK for our interview with Cabbage, and more pictures to come, before their UK tour kicks off. Tickets are on sale, word is getting out with every show. They will go fast!
