Our fantastic reportage photographer, Tarquin Clark, reviewed Y Not ? Festival 2015 “one of best small festivals the UK has to offer “ (the event went on to win the Best Medium Festival at the UK Festival Awards later that year). Tarquin's images and feedback from last year, won over some of TheZineUK's friends to check it out this year.

Travel is easy, Y Not ? Festival has teamed up with National Express Coaches so that you can get to the site easily from around the country. Also, for those of you that just “can't do camping”, fear not. There are Glamping and VIP facilities (get in quick, check for availability) which include the essential haven of posh toilets and hot water showers. This and other helpful information is all at the website.
This will be the 11th Year of Y Not ? Festival which is such “a star attraction on the UK live music calendar” (Music Tourist Board) that from over 800 applications to play, even the short list looks like a great new music bill in its own right.
In 2005 this was a house party with bands, BBQ and garden camping that evolved into a tiny ‘festival weekend with friends bands, a garden gazebo for a main stage, and a portaloo with 120 attendees. What started out as ”Big Gin Fest” has come a really long way!
Treat yourself, festival fans.
