'Audrey' brand new video from DOLLS

DOLLS ; New video; 'Audrey'

Launch show : March 1st London Old Blue Last plus new UK tour dates.

'Audrey' is released with Kid Kannibal and available from iTunes.

DOLLS new video for 'Audrey' - a feisty rock smasher with a global feel and psychedelic twists - was directed and edited by Luke Baker (Don't Talk To Me Films).

It's a garage punk anthem about an unusual girl, delivered by two girls who pack an unusually mighty musical punch. Jade Ellins (guitar/vocals) and Belinda Conde (drums/vocals) prove that the calibre of rock bands on the UK's grassroots venue circuit right now is really high. Their recordings, too. 'Audrey' was recorded with up and coming producer, Rohan Budd and masterered by award-winning engineer, John Davis (Led Zeppelin, Royal Blood, FKA Twigs). A full on blast of aural energy.

This is raw, noisy excellence and the word is getting out about this duo. Towards the end of last year, 'Kid Kannibal' thrilled us at The Zine with its deliciously dirty sound and 'Audrey' keeps the momentum expanding, in fact 2016 sees Jade and Bel becoming unleashed as they grow into their potential. After gigging around London relentlessly throughout 2015, DOLLS are already being championed by John Kennedy at Radio X, and by BBC Introducing.

They have also lined up more shows as the reputation of their live presence grows (the police more or less shut their mid February gig down for being too exciting!) and have just supported Wendy James at her sold out Ramsgate Music Hall appearance.

DOLLS live on stage.

Tue 1 Mar - Old Blue Last, Shoreditch, East London (Free Entry)

Sat 26 Mar - The Windmill, Brixton, South London

Sat 2 Apr - Hanwell Hootie Festival, West London

Fri 15 Apr - The Silver Bullet, Finsbury Park, North London

Sat 23 Apr - The Corner House, Cambridge

Probably a good idea to catch them at one of these shows, if you can ,as this band possess the quality that bigger stages were made for. Some of the greatest new guitar driven bands and artists on the planet are being hot housed right here in Britain. Especially in the grassroots venues. DOLLS are a very good case in point.

The general blandification of mainstream popular music is fine for zombies, but there are too many humans left still. We need real songs, riffs, beats and tunes so good that we are transported out of this world, even if for a few minutes or a live set.

It's great watching all those classic bands on BBC 4 TV, but we can live our own legacies now by experiencing whats on offer, personally. The 'Audrey' video shows cool and confident musicians having the time of their life; LIVING that song as they deliver it. See a classic band that make #TheBritz every bit as worthy as The Brits, of your attention.

DOLLS gone and got me all excited again...
