Ashes to Ashes collection
The Ashes To Ashes label was founded by Chikashi Ojima in 2015, with all the pieces screen printed in Japan.
The range features a whole slew of graphic images and photographic pieces, collaborating with Anton Newcombe from Brian Jonestown Massacre, as well as artist Jim Lambie, to make a range of rock n roll inspired clothing. The icon eye, is his personal homage to David Bowie
Earth to Earth, Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust.
To be honest - and this may be becase we are music based - whenever I see a music driven collection, I feel driven to cover it. It makes sense.
It also seemed quite synchronistic, with the label's name being inspired by David Bowie, it felt fitting to run this piece.
Then, some spooky stuff happened when we connected on our personal social media pages. It turns out that Chikashi is friends with a big chunk of our network. A busy man, with a long reach.
