#TheBritz #WildeLifeAwards

It's simple really. In 2016 the millenium will be 16. Old enough for legal SEX. Broken Britain has got MASSIVE potential on the underground to Rock n Roll it HARD. National TV on land has The Brits and The X Factor. International buzz on line has #TheBritz and the exquisite factor. See near future for us die hard n defiant outsiders throwing a noisy fun party. You know what? Let's start TODAY.

Since the first images were taken for #TheZineUK (The Otherside at Party In The Park and Floodliners on the set of TryLife.TV club scene) at the end of 2013, The Zine has been an experiment in documenting the under radar music movement. Rock, especially, as the independent, DIY, cottage industry bands fall into an "not flaccid whimper pop but seething indie rock" crack where, at the bottom, they are rescued by support from BBC Introducing/Amazing Radio etc and independent media like Joyzine, GigSlutz, Little Indie Blogs, Kitmonsters, God Is In The TV, Sonic Shocks, Louder Than War and more, until hopefully some Kerrang!/Classic Rock/Metal Hammer etc can notice them and join in. It does happen. The best thing of all that is the completely different tastes of all the above media on many things, and us crossing over over on some too. Like some kind of unhyped algorithm. Who has engaged you? Or is #TheBritz idea nonsense? Feel free to tweet feedback @TheZineUK

Our reports on the underground activity stepped up as The Zine went on line and Uniqulture went on the road in 2014. We couldn't have made last year up, and now 2015 has not only underlined it all, but set up all sorts of possibilities. The Bohicas, Reverend And The Makers, Nova Twins, The Enemy, Saint Agnes, Broken Hands. Half a dozen reasons why 2016 is going to ROCK because of them being pulse raising, definitive and imaginative soundtracks of 2015, some of which are in this WildeLifeAwards Part 1 youtube playlist;

We managed to put some of the WildeLifeAwards artists (soundcloud playlist) on at gigs this year. In some supernatural twisted charm of fate, many of the top mover and and shaker promoters/labels/media etc (This Feeling, 1965 Records, Jack Daniels, End Of The Trail Records, Xfm DJs, Heavenly DJs, On Blackheath Festival) have shared the New Cross backroom bar where TheZineUK was born - as mentioned in our recent feature on The Next Alt Rock Music Industry.

We are in contact with Essex, Kent, Sussex venues/promoters, setting up a circuit for credible releases/tours to be supported on. Also talking to booking agents/bands for co-promoting shows, and looking at our own mini festival weekend at the end of March. Our next Chapter (007) of picture book story will bond the report so that we can concentrate on the surreality TV of our lives. Movies n music culture inspired by friends of The Zine being involved in various independent films, including the Flawed Is Beautiful, Nina Forever and Invisible Britain films screened this year) That will leave proper space for the photographers, alone, to be exhibited in future chapters.

Talking of which, we till can't get over the number of high profile names of all disciplines that want to work with a bunch of skint day dreamers like us (72 Second Video of Uniqulture 'Expo Beats' by Little Death Machine). We might as well make the most of it. The ArtBeat of uniqulture is like People's Momentum; The Musical!

The Mourning Birds album (Spotify link for a listen) is a primal, seething classic from a band that enabled our situationist, poetic road show shenanigans by saying "yes" before even knowing what they were letting themselves in for. (Sometimes just rum n fags. Ha ha, thanks lads). It is another of this year's key soundtracks of next year.

I hope we can all go forward together. Next stop is inviting everybody to the step up, 2016's WildeLifeAwards next Spring and creating something special in celebration of them all.

Twitteratti are you following and engaging? deuxfurieuses @NovaTwinsmusic @LucieBarat_ARVS @TheBohicas @Reverend_Makers @theenemyband @therealsabatta @MourningBirds @Trampolene_Band @WeArePinkCigar @WeareSaintAgnes @BrokenHandsBand @deadbelles @NedDylan @LDMofficial @HorsePartyParty @SmileyTownz @youthmanband rocking variety show, for starters?

Constant results from Uniqulture (i.e. multi culture without divisions); The Otherside, six months after that initial shot, were ArtRocker New Blood of 2014 /won Olympus recording equipment (this year gigging between uni), Georgia of Floodliners is now half of (hot) up n comers, Nova Twins and TryLife.TV now has one and a half million followers on Facebook alone. Like Jeremy Corbyn, you won't hear much about the positive activist artists create, but you can experience it. Our Live Event Department's motto (that's me!) is Share The Joy.

Lotsa love, Caffy x

p.s. (oops my 60 second Recognition interview about DIY ran over - chatterchatterchatterbox - but I me me me / mean it, maaaan)
