Sunday the Soccer6th of September is SOCCERSIXFEST, Mile End Stadium

Rock and Indie Bands on the pitch at London's Mile End Stadium?

Look at this convention of established and emerging talent on the pitch, at the bar and the @soccersixrock tweet banter is gearing up for an exciting and competitive day.

These teams are in it to WIn it! The weather forecast is mostly sunny (yay) too - with no rain (This is Britain, lets wait and see!)

Hats off to all that have added their name, time, energy and support to #SoccerSixFest because its shaping up to be a massive big day of funshine. Our team will be there on the day. Come n find us, and look out for images and video clips here at TheZineUK after this weekend, too.

Soccer Six is the world's best known celebrity football tournament. In the countdown to what is set to be a great day, famed names are still coming on board. Newly added to the line up on the pitch are Britpop stalwarts, Space. Taken from their new album 'Attack of the Mutant 50ft Kebab' this is the video for 'Fortune Teller'. I wonder if Space can predict who who will be winning a Cup on 6th September!?

Live on stage at the VIP Bar after party rock n roll show;

Up and comers, Lois & The Love (their razor sharp, synth-shot stylish grungey gutter pop is getting Xfm Radio session, festivals and even a live set H&M Central London - now that's #StageStyle - we love that at The Zine).

Highly recommended Laburnum (declared “Band Of The Year”, by Sky Sports Producers)

And emerging Kent trio, Mourning Birds ("British Balls Out Garage Rock" - NME).

Alll programmed like a boss by Soccer Six's lovely Heather Minx!

So many music world faces are making Soccer Six Fest happen including; Xfm Radio, Rolo Tomassi, Hadouken, Metal Hammer, Hill Valley High, This Feeling, Someday I, Trampolene, Eliza And The Bear, The Jackobins, Diamond Days, Savage Nomads, End Of The Trail Records, Leopards, IC1s, Dexters, Judas, Passport To Stockholm, Natalie Indya West, Morrissey & Marshall, Fort Hope, House Of Thieves, Storms, ROAM, The Bulletproof Bomb, Hidden Charms, Joyzine, Bang Bang Romeo, Laburnum, My Little Empire (multi previous winners, look out!), Raw Power, Chuggaboom, elephants and castles, Glass Caves, Lost Film Foundation, Alias Kid, Sweetheart Contract, The Holloways, Flash Bang Band, The Paddingtons and more! UNITED.

By United, we mean if you haven't heard of somebody mentioned above, keep an ear out, they had to be tipped/movers n shakers to get on the squads! Some of the UK's best releases, gigs and tours, of all size venues are courtesty of the SoccerSixFest massive. Catch them having fun together before it all, erm, kicks off (ktsch!) big time!

Rolo Tomassi being just one of these many contenders. A definite favourite at this year's festivals, largely courtesy of their newly released album, 'Grievances' (Holy Roar Records). Dark mathcore melody par excellence, tickets for dates on their November tour are selling out. Taken from the LP, this is 'Opalescent', in name and nature, from a band that can blast monster noise dynamics of musicality like a shoe gazing angry T-Rex that has been raised on metal, fire, unicorn dreams and Radiohead.

These events are always a social highlight of the music calendar. Attendees can watch their favourite stars play football, enjoy live music performances and witness the Soccer Six Fest champions take home the trophy. There's a load more bands n biz at the bar, too, of course.

Soccer Six gives fans the chance to meet their idols. This year’s celebrities include the likes of Dappy, Jake Quickenden, EastEnders/Strictly’s Jake Wood, DJ Brandon Block and stars from The Krays Movie, Game of Thrones, Britain’s Got Talent, Waterloo Road, X Factor, TOWIE and many more. Ha ha all in the same place on the same day. It'll be like an episode of Eastenders that you couldn't even imagine if you were tripping.

SoccerSixFest celebrates the incredible history of Soccer Six at Mile End Stadium, the original location for the first Soccer Six event in 1996. Bands such as Oasis, Pulp and Blur played in the first matches, accelerating Soccer Six in to the limelight.

In 2015 it's a fusion of football, celebrity and music with an outdoor summer fun festival vibe. On Sunday 6th September, courtesy of all the talent who have come on board to make this such a great day, Soccer Six Fest aims to create awareness and raise funds for the charity Giving Kids A Break.

Kick off is 11am. Tickets in advance: http://soccersixfest.com/buy-tickets/
