Feral Five release 'Neurotrash' Free Download

Described by Steve Lamacq of BBC 6Music as “Enid Blyton's worst nightmare", Feral Five have unleashed a sci-fi electro-punk brain battle 'Neurotrash' (Primitive Light Recordings). The free download is available now via http://feralfive.bandcamp.com/track/neurotrash

A Big Bang n bass band, left-field force-field of sound, Feral Five will be at this year's free festival of music ideas, Sweden Music Tech Fest.

Inspired by science wars, 'Neurotrash' is the soundtrack of our dystopian 21st century Metropolis movie lives, dancing into madness. It features in the new drag queens film 'Dressed As A Girl' which premiered at the BFI in Spring. The word on creative street is Feral Five, the inhuman league. Louder Than War recognise; "Your new favourite band".

Neuroscience is studied by Social and Arts policies as a possible answer to our behaviour, and 'Neurotrash' name checks controversial/legendary scientists, Baroness Susan Greenfield and Rosalind Franklin while proving that intellect can still sound feral. Kat (vocals, guitar, percussion) and Drew (bass, keys, beats) are obsessed with the lust, madness and the dark, human side of technology.

Mixing DIY punk ideas with art sensibility. The video for 'Skin' their “brooding and deviant” debut EP (according to Nirvana biographer, Everett True) features imagery from tattoo artists and 3D designers, soundtracked by its menace-riffed dark disco.

With an imaginative musicality and knowledge of creating new sounds, Feral Five manage to stay a step ahead of not only sounding innovative but singing about it. Authentically alternative, other previous releases ‘Angel Road’ and ‘3D’ were not only featured on 'Steve Lamacq's national radio show, but ‘3D’ was the first song about creating humans from a domestic 3D printer. Futuristically stylish:

With 3D printed artwork on the vinyl release, it was praised by critics as being “the song of our times”, and rock provocateur duo, deux furieuses, chose it as their favourite track of 2014.

“My brain is mine” sing Feral Five in 'Neurotrash' which should, ideally, be chosen by Cortana as her favourite track of 2015!
