FAME: Fashion. Art. Music. Entertainment.
StageStyle and Newer Wave Music tips, combined to expose emerging entertainers and the brands on their wavelength. TheZineUK is a transmedia adventure in supporting the must-hear/must-see underground talent. Between us we have a proven record in scouting ones to watch, a reputation for where-its-at live music events and healthy amount of contacts.
The back story of 2014 (Chapters 1-3) - 21,000+ views, not a bad start - was a steep learning curve as well as a situationist adventure loaded with positive results. In typical ambitious fashion, The Zine team curated an alternative arts pop-up Expo at South London Art Map, then our lunch time showcase line up at #TGE14 got us invited back to host an official stage at The Great Escape Festival again - this year, the late saturday night slot.
Our #TGE15 line up (themselves set for various releases, festivals and future accolades, already) have created new opportunities and futures within 10 days, at time of writing. Behind the scenes we are developing this website, looking to create new fashion shoots, podcasts, video clips, sessions, interviews, exhibitions and more as we go along.
Out of necessity we are resourceful. A Deptford council block stairwell made a great location for photo-grapher, Rupert Hitchcox and stylist, Ben Dodd, to create our first shoot with musician, Rhiannon The Nightmare (a fantastic first-time model) wearing Tahir Sultan and Paul Simonon (Sailor Jerry Flash Collection). This Blip goes up to 11! (seconds, that is)
We like meeting people on land, as well as on line. Our next social is on Friday 19th June at South East London's key music venue, Amersham Arms. It is 7pm-10pm so that people can get from anywhere in the capital and home again easily (its Zone 2 - Inner London - 6 minute one stop journey from The Shard/London Bridge and across the road from New Cross Station). Or stay in for Whip It! club until 3am. There will be fashion, art, music AND entertainment.
A lot of laughing happens when we get together. So much love and appreciation to all the artists that are part of this story, so far. Some of them will be there. Industry, media, grassroots or otherwise, you are invited to connect. Stay tuned, another quality line up coming together, and this is what we would like to do to the new stars...
