Friday evening #StageStyle at #TGE15
Essentials packed? Yep. Right then, Brighton here we come. We got to enjoy and hang out with some formidable music makers and lovers at The Great Escape Festival.
Classic British Rock STARS, Pink There is a wristband-people-queue outside The Haunt, but @AltEscape is where the new thrills are. Round the corner, Pink Cigar are OWNING The Fishbowl at the End Of The Trail / Amazing Radio showcase on Friday night. The girls in the window LOVE it... Not only were the punky, showy rockers full on and freaking awesome, but there were various people in the crowd that we ran into the next day still buzzing off this show.
Catch Longfellow at the Royal Albion Hotel then walk to the end of the Pier (surreal) for Longy at The Horatio. Some brand new fans made a few hours earlier had recommended coming. They were right. Was definitely worth it.
Also rocking out at The Fishbowl on Friday evening a young band from Sheffield called Spears. Smart licks with duelling guitars and beats like an actual beating.
Lots of #StageStyle in the lanes (pictured; want want Jacket by Red Mutha) and flyers in the venues. The Alternative Escape is where the tip and information is being exchanged among the future music industry shapers.
The Zine team got the VIP treatment and a special Uniqulture suite for the weekend. Between catching more bands , Fashion Editor, Ben Dodd, chilling...
Probably one of the most DIY outfits with a showcase over the weekend, we made the most of it. A bit skint, but let it not be said that we didn't have bags of money!
