Are We Sexy Enough? ask deux furieuses

Devastating Woman Power – the musical.

You need to not only hear, but really listen to the new single from deux furieuses.

'Are We Sexy Enough?' is their third massive single release wrapped around an even bigger challenge and is again produced by Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey).

Mixed by Mark Freegard (The Breeders) and released on 8th June via AWAL it is a beautiful song that takes on some ugly subjects. Video by Dan Donovan:

In the UK, the election has just been lost to an elite minority because our “politicians” lack the socially aware convictions of our entertainers (see Charlotte Church, Michael Sheen and more public speakers that stirred the public recently).

With devastating power, deux furieuses are honestly challenging uncomfortable subjects without losing the ability to compose and perform high calibre songs. The awed feedback consistently pours in from fans and critics alike. The words “vital”, “important”, “defiant” and “awesome” keep cropping up.

Ros (guitar/vocals) and Vas (drums/vocals) are genuine DIY.

They are in charge of their presentation and the translation of their creativity. This is no pop poppets puppet show - deux furieuses have earned their place in various Bands For 2015 recommendations, on merit.

"This single is about the conflicting pressures on girls in society, and in the music business." say deux furieuses.

They make the point with no holds barred lyicially. And louder, live on stage:

Saturday 16th May – The Great Escape Festival Brighton – on stage 2.30pm

Earworm at The Royal Albert Hotel, 35 Old Steine, BN1 1NT. Part of the free entry weekend scouting fest, The Alternative Escape. “One of many events that is acknowledged as part of what brings us all down to the seaside for a few days” (Louder Than War)

Tuesday 9th June – ARE WE SEXY ENOUGH? Single Launch. The Garage, London 8.30pm

"deux furieuses have surpassed Savages already in just under four minutes of tightly wound, compressed menace" said Nirvana biographer, Everett True, of their previous release, 'The Party Of Shaitaan.” He's got a strong point. Just look at the name of this band, that alone is sexy enough for the imaginative believers. https://www.facebook.com/deuxfurieuses
