Nationwide, people are having their interest piqued by the publicity generated by Musicians Against Homelessness. An impressive number of hand picked bills. Tonight has some wickedly intense, newer wave sets from tipped up and comers:

Fresh from recently supporting Avalanche Party, #chavpunk heroes, Adrenaline Animals warm up for their forthcoming shows with Pretty Vicious. Described on more than one occasion as monumental, this would be a pretty good time to make Tuesday choose day!

BBC Radio 6 Music favourites, 485C have recently played their first main stage festival slot as well as their debut Radio X live session and interview with John Kennedy. A band coming on in leaps and bounds. There wasn't enough room to see their Lock Tavern gig a few weeks ago, so get down the front early for these, too.

With the highly recommended Oliver Shaw and Trent Miller, plus the legendary Bruno Wizard fronting The Homosexuals, this is a great night for a great cause.

Sometimes the best and most sustainable solutions, are the simple ones and MAH is a fantastic example of that. It's an opportunity for musicians to stretch their philanthropic skills, either organising or partaking in an event for the evening, that will raise money to help the Crisis charity help vulnerable people all over the country.

Sadly, there still exists judgments and misconceptions about giving and receiving help and support. But ultimately,we all deserve to live our best lives and help others do the same,so there is no shame in needing support to help rebuild your life.

That's what this money being raised is going to do. It will help people believe there is a life worth living, get their physical and mental health back on track, acquire skills to help them hopefully get to where they want... I could go on but you get the drift.

As a resident of Camden and a musician, I see evidence at first hand of how much the homelessness situation seems to be getting worse. On top of that, the recent deaths of some homeless people in the area have been related to the use of legal highs. We can't fix the world the way we’d like, but that doesn't mean we should under-estimate our power and what we can do to help those on our doorstep. Organising this event was a chance for me to do just that.

I hope that lovely people will attend this event; enjoying themselves whilst helping others out there (especially this coming Christmas) by donating what they can. Plus...this country and planet could do with some well needed good karma right now.

So yes, 12th September at the Monarch in Camden, come down in your Sunday (Tuesday?) best, or just bring your kind faces and personalities, spread the love around, enjoy the music and of course donate, donate, donate!

Check out the facebook event page for the set times of the musicians generously giving up their time to help raise money..and lift spirits too at the same time. Hope to see many familiar faces, and lots of new ones too!
